Memory Lane

I remember the first time I met Jeff. It was still hard to go to church alone, especially on weeks that I didn't have Austin. After Sacrament one day Diane, Jeff's mom came and introduced him to me. I remember going home and telling my mom how weird it was that I had met someone named Jeff Limb and didn't give it much thought after that. He was definitely tall, dark and handsome but I just never thought I would talk to him again. A funny thing to think now. The bishop started teasing me that one day I would be part of his family. My one thought: he's crazy! How would he think that when I hadn't even said five words to this guy. Slowly we started talking and became texting buddies as I like to call it. Still never thinking anything more would come from this. Jeff had a girlfriend and I was dating other people. We started to become best friends and there was no doubt that I definitely got a huge smile on my face when I saw his name flash across my phone. When we both became single we decided to hang out one day. I was so nervous when our first date actually came. Then something weird started to happen. His name would pop into my head when I was praying. Pushing it aside for a long time not really wanting to know what it meant. Then I finally gave in and then I knew, I was supposed to be with this guy for the rest of my life. Scary. Neither of us thought that we would be here today but I am so thankful that we had a little extra push from people around us. And most of all a sign or 100 from Heavenly Father. Because now I don't know what I would do without the most amazing man I know.
